The Blackflower Collective is NOT a non profit 501(c)3, we are a worker-owned for profit LLC serving our community. We are raising money to purchase, develop, and maintain a piece of property on which to realize our collective mission and our housing projects. The Blackflower Collective is a bottom-up, people powered project supporting impacted communities, especially those most marginalized, during multiple intersecting crises. We act without bureaucracy or red tape and our flexible approach is able to make every dollar stretch to make the most positive impact in responding to the self-determined needs of individuals. The principle of “solidarity, not charity” means that actions are based on the stated needs of the people themselves, working cooperatively rather than administering from above.
